I’m a bit of a perfume addict and a sucker for new releases and when one of them is a Chanel one, I’m at the front of the queue.  I adore all of the Chanel Chance perfumes and its newest addition, released only last month, is Chance Eau Vive.   This is an Eau de Toilette and is available in 50ml for £55 or 100ml for £79.

Described as a floral, zesty fragrance with top notes of grapefruit and blood orange, middle notes of jasmine and base notes of cedar and iris, Chance Eau Vive is definitely a fresh and light scent making it ideal for the warmer months. Whilst I’m not a huge fan of citrus scents when it comes to perfume, I would say that this has the perfect balance of floral notes in there to give it that femininity, which I like.  The silage and longevity isn’t that great but I normally reapply perfume throughout the day so this isn’t so much of a problem for me.

At the moment though this is in my “like” but not “love” category and my favourites from the collection are still Chanel Chance and Chance Eau Tendre, which I just can’t get enough of.  Then again, it can sometimes take ages for perfume to grow on me and for a non over-powering, office / day appropriate scent for the summer, this is a pretty good choice and worth a sniff test because as we all know perfume smells different on different people.

So have you tried any of the Chanel Chance perfumes?  Which ones are your favourite?
