    My New Beauty Additions

As ever, I feel like each month comes with some new beauty highlights and additions galore.  It’s been crazy cold in the UK but that automatic urge to have a spring clean has well and truly kicked in.  Of course that only means I’m making space for what’s new.  I think I’ve been taking the whole “out with the old and in with the new” a bit too literally!  Luckily, my new beauty finds are serving me well, some of which will feature in my future blog posts (if they haven’t already), but here are some that have particularly stood out to me:

I’m a massive fan of Grow Gorgeous ever since I tried their Volumising range and this Three Steps to Gorgeous Regime Kit * is a great addition to my collection. Featuring travel sizes (50ml) of the Scalp Detox and 11-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner, and a full-sized Hair Growth Serum plus a chic travel pouch to match, this is a great way to try out their bestsellers.

” I’ve never tried an exfoliating treatment

for the hair and I am hooked “

The Scalp Detox is a fantastic pre-wash treatment which you apply to wet hair, leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse before following with your shampoo and conditioner.  Pomegranate enzymes and natural castor oil beads clear impurities and gently exfoliate the scalp, providing a great base for hair growth as well as removing pesky product build-up I am all too familiar with.  I’ve never tried an exfoliating treatment for the hair and I am hooked.  I love the cooling effect this has on the scalp and will definitely be buying the full-sized version when this finishes.

With the 11-in 1 Cleansing Conditioner, I can effectively skip shampoo (I’m all for saving time) as this is a 2-in-1 shampoo that improves your hair in 11 different ways. One thing to note is that this product does not lather up as it’s sulphate-free.  But it really does work and if anything it encourages you to really massage the product into your hair to get all the lovely goodness.

Keeping my hair thick and voluminous is always at the top of my list.  That’s why I was super excited that this came with the much-loved Hair Growth Serum.  Applied directly to the scalp on dry hair this leaves the hair looking fuller – so I should have long, flowing locks in no-time.  Overall, by using these products my hair is stronger and cleaner.  What’s more, having something to clarify my scalp by way of the Scalp Detox is a massive plus for me.

& Other Stories is one of my favourite stores.  From clothing, jewellery and bags to their own-branded makeup and beauty – it’s a haven for fashion and beauty-lovers. Their body-care in particular is the best with cute and quirky packaging to match.  The Floribunda Lip Balm is from the Paris Atelier range – a chic and sophisticated celebration of France.  Extracts of honey, rose and beeswax make for a super creamy and hydrating lip balm that’s fit for any boudoir.

Having been on the look-out for a new under-eye concealer, I’m so glad I picked up the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer.  Non-drying and creamy, I don’t normally go for concealers in a pot.  However, this provides the perfect amount of coverage whilst still looking natural. It blends well both with fingers or a dense brush like the Hourglass No.3 All Over Shadow Brush (pictured above) and is great on its own or as a top up when you need extra coverage.  Most importantly, this doesn’t crease under the eyes and I have shade 3, which is a perfect match.

If there was ever a collection that had my name written on it then it is the L’Occitane Shea Collection by Rifle Paper Co.  When beauty and stationery come together it really is a match made in heaven and what a perfect pairing- both are brands I love.  With the familiar and oh so beautiful Rifle Paper Co. limited edition designs on the packaging, this collection is almost too pretty to use and is currently taking pride of place on my dressing table.

Included in the set is a 50ml Ultra Rich Body Cream, 50ml Ultra Rich Body Scrub, 30ml Shea Butter Hand Cream and 4 Rifle Paper Co. postcards, all housed in a peach coloured steel tin.  The range itself is smoothing and luxurious and smells divine – the perfect treat for yourself or as a gift for someone else.

No new beauty highlights of mine are complete without a lip product or two.  The Laura Mercier Lip Glacé is an old-school favourite.  I used to love this formula back in the day and I had some colours I absolutely adored, but sadly they were limited edition.  However, I recently re-visited this range and picked up Bellini – a soft peach and once again I have fallen in love with this lip product.

A perfect hybrid between a lip gloss and a lip lacquer, there’s a glossy thickness to the Lip Glacé that imparts just the right amount of colour whilst making your lips look plump.  Bellini is quite pale but works as a great lip topper; ideal for when you want something fresh-looking and natural on the lips.
