You all know how much I love a red lip and even better when it’s in the form of a lip crayon.  They are just easier to work with, don’t you think?  I have three particular favourites that have been my go to’s for quite while now, each gorgeous in their own right and definitely worth the money.

Of course no lip crayon feature would be complete without mention of the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. The two I have here are Red Square and Dragon Girl.  Red Square is the absolute perfect red/orange, which looks stunning with a tan.  Sometimes this sort of colour can look really stark but with this I find it suits all skin tones and it really adds a vibrant pop of colour to the lips without looking garish.  Dragon Girl, on the other hand, is a deeper pinkish red but still just as vibrant.

The formulation of the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are just amazing.  They glide on beautifully, are true to colour and last for ages.  Whilst matte, they are not drying and I can’t wait to add some more colours to my collection.

Lastly is Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow in Desire which was also featured in my “What’s in My Makeup Bag” post here.  This is a classic brick-red and always draws compliments.  This lip crayon is very creamy and gives a semi-matte finish with good lasting power, plus it comes with a sharpener – always a bonus.

If I had to pick just one favourite then it would be Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow in Desire- from the colour to the finish, to the pigmentation and just the fact that it looks good….what more is there to say?

So have you tried these before and do you have any lip crayons you love using? x
