• The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleons

Nearly every brand has something to offer by way of eyeshadow sticks, pencils or crayons and a few months ago I shared with you some of my favourites from By Terry and Laura Mercier, see my post on this here.  Like any makeup addict, when I start to use something new, suddenly everywhere I go I start gravitating towards that product and even if it’s just the teeniest bit different in colour, I need it  – does this sound like you too??!

Well, with the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencils, the colour range is entirely different to anything I own and in fact what I have swatched from other brands that offer a similar kind of product.  Rather than pencils, these are more crayons in my opinion and you can use them all over the lids, smudged on the outer-corners, as an eyeliner and on the waterline – in short whichever way takes your fancy.  I prefer to use these to line my lower lash line and smudged on the outer corners.

In line with Charlotte Tilbury’s signature style, each shade is recommended for either blue, brown, green or hazel coloured eyes and for day or night, but as you can imagine I don’t like to restrict myself and generally speaking the colours are universal.   Even though the staying power is great, there is enough time to blend the product and with fingers is best but of course being crayons, they are not going to give you any precision but that’s not really what they are designed for so a smoky, effortless look is what these offer.

From left to right: Bronzed Garnet, Black Diamonds, Amber Haze & Golden Quartz

So here is a breakdown of the colours I have:

Bronzed Garnet is a reddish brown and recommended for green eyes.

Black Diamonds which is recommended for blue eyes is a great alternative to black eyeliner or kohl as it has a blue undertone and what I love about this is the silver shimmer running through it – perfect for adding that bit of glam.

Amber Haze, which is ideal for brown eyes is by far my favourite as it’s that unusual golden brown, almost caramel.

Lastly is Golden Quartz which is great for green eyes.  This is a brown with an olive undertone and golden shimmer.  It reminds me of a creamier and slightly deeper version of Mac’s Sumptuous Olive, see my post on this here.

I could so see myself buying a few more and I especially think the shimmers running through these add that uniqueness.  At £19 each they are a bit cheaper than some others I have tried and lets be honest – who doesn’t love Charlotte Tilbury?

So have you tried these before and which colours take your fancy? x
