• My Favourite Foaming Cleansers

When it comes to my night-time cleansing routine, I do love a good foaming cleanser – my skin feels squeaky clean after and of course it pairs wonderfully with my Clarasonic.  I’ve tried a few over the years but there are three that have stood the test of time:

First up is the Lancome Creme Mousse Confort.  This retails at £23 and although targeted at dry skin, it works well on my normal / combination skin.  It foams up pretty quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.  This cleanser is fragrance free and provides the skin with a moisture barrier to protect it from dryness.  It’s one of those cleaners that isn’t necessarily packed with lots of fancy gimmicky ingredients, but it is a “does what it says” kinda product.

Secondly is the Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi Action Foam Cleanser / Purifying Mask.  This is my favourite of the three as it not only acts as a daily foaming cleanser, but you can also use it as a mask by leaving it on your skin for 3 minutes.  Either way, it purifies the skin, is ideal for all skin types and makes my skin feel refreshed after use.  This retails at £23.50 and its multi-use benefits make this a winner in my opinion.

Lastly is the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Purifying Cleanser, £24.  As well as being a cleanser, this has clever ingredients which include White Birch and Peony Extract to even your skin tone and help reverse age-spots and discolouration.  Whilst this isn’t necessarily a major skin care concern of mine, I definitely notice that my skin feels brighter and even in tone, especially after continued use but to really get the benefits of this it is best to also use the other products in this range at the same time.

Overall, I think all three are great at removing makeup, which lets face it is probably the main thing you want from a cleanser.  Mind you, you cannot use these near the eyes which is pretty much the case with most if not all foaming cleansers, so to remove my mascara I use my Garnier Micellar Water…..oh and I’d always recommend a double cleanse whatever product you use.

So have you tried these foaming cleansers before?  x
